I am greatly honored to give the welcoming address at Chiang Mai, Thailand, July 11~July 13, 2024. This conference somewhat differs from most others conferences covering broad overview and current assessment of global and multidisciplinary trends of our common interests every year.

There are several reasons for organizing this conference. Research on convergence is entering a period of mushrooming growth. Therefore, It was highly desirable that interested scientists gather to report new advances, review progresses, discuss conflicting findings and divergent interpretations, and make more meaningful plans for the future phases and directions of research.

Finally, I would like to thank all the attendees, track and session chairs, reviewers and local organizing directors for their valuable contributions for ICIECT 2024. It would be the good fortune of getting to know personally many of the active and experienced researchers in this field.
